Cambridge University Herbarium Tour, December 2017
Right before the Christmas break, I was given the privilege to attend a tour of the Cambridge University Herbarium. A herbarium is a collection of preserved plant specimens, and Cambridge's has over a million samples.
Leading the tour of the herbarium was its curator Dr Lauren Gardiner (Twitter: @CUHerb). I have never met someone as enthusiastic in her passion, as I am towards photography. She made the tour that much more enjoyable and educational.
I feasted my eyes on specimens collected by the eminent Charles Darwin, as well as some pitcher plants collected from my home country. **squeals in delight**
